                              Mrs. Ophelia Johns Strickland, 100, of Pelham, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in Pelham, Georgia.  Born on July 22, 1911 to the late Kit Carson and Josie Stephens Johns, she was married to the late Charles W. Strickland.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham.  She is survived by her children Allene Warren and husband David, of Albany, Georgia, Charles Strickland and wife Wanda of Americus, Georgia, Sara Davis of Portland, Tennessee, eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Strickland and parents Kit Carson and Josie Stephens Johns.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Jamerson Funeral Home in Pelham, Georgia.  Funeral services will be conducted graveside on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in the Pelham City Cemetery.  Ronnie Morrell will officiate the services.
